Start with the areas and conditions on site
A useful brief identifies the spaces to be cleaned and the types of dirt or build-up present. Include production or storage areas where relevant, loading areas, internal routes and the staff facilities that support the operation.
Explain floor finishes, obstacles, drainage and any limitations on water or cleaning methods. Separate accessible surfaces from work at height, enclosed areas or machinery-related tasks. Each needs to be assessed within the agreed scope, with site rules and responsibilities made clear.
- Warehouse and factory floors and circulation areas
- Loading areas and accessible building surfaces
- Staff rooms, washrooms and welfare facilities
Plan cleaning around shifts, stock and movements
Share shift patterns, delivery times and the routes used by people and vehicles. Identify when an area can be made available and who can authorise the work. A clear cleaning window helps the team understand the space and access available.
Agree what your own team needs to move or protect before cleaning begins. Stock, pallets and equipment can limit access to surfaces underneath or behind them. Moving goods, operating machinery and cleaning production equipment should never be assumed to be included without a specific agreement.
Separate routine tasks from specialist work
Regular cleaning and an industrial deep clean serve different purposes. Routine visits can maintain agreed areas, while a planned deep clean may address a build-up or prepare a space for a change in use.
Pristine also provides specialist services including high-level cleaning and DOFF steam cleaning. Discuss whether these are relevant to the building or surfaces involved. The method, equipment, access requirements and boundaries of the job should be established for the particular site, with any exclusions recorded in the quotation.
Give the cleaning team a clear operational brief
Identify a site contact and explain arrival arrangements, induction requirements, restricted zones and the process for reporting an issue. Confirm where equipment can be stored and how the team can access water, power and waste collection points where needed.
To request an industrial cleaning quote, send your location, type of premises, approximate areas, operating hours and the work required. Include photographs where permitted and flag any tasks needing specialist assessment. Explore our warehouse and factory pages for more information, then contact Pristine to discuss your site.
